Judge Hardware

I was wondering what hardware/software the Judges are going to use for the game test weekend?
Windows OS? SM/DX version? cpu? gpu?

Unofficial info: We don’t know at this point what kind of platforms will be available to the judges, but it’s reasonable to assume that
windows, linux and OS X will be among the supported platforms for PC, and additional addons common among participants
entries such as Direct X will most likley be installed, however, any addons needed by the game should be specified and better yet
included with the game.
I have no idea what consoles will be available, but I know that in the past participants has been asked to lend consoles the judges
won’t have access to, so you should not be afraid of making a game for an obscure console as long as you are willing to lend it out.
The quality of the hardware will most likley be very high, specific data about the hardware will probably be released close to testing.
I don’t know about extra hardware though, such as physics cards.
The same rule for consoles applies for input interfaces, if you use any wierd devices the judges won’t have access to they
have to be sent in.
Yeah, I might be part of the SGA crew but this information is more like a guess, it should give you a rough idea, if you need
official info you need to wait until it’s been decided.
